The bus veered over to the bus lane, but just kept going. We got there early to be on the safe side. But the WORST part of the experience is that we waited at Bryant Park for 30 minutes to return to the airport. Don’t expect anyone to help you with your luggage getting on, and bring a sweater it was like an ice chest inside. We had to wait 45 minutes for the next one. First, the bus at the airport terminal drive right by us. Obviously, we urge you to NOT pre-book the bus from Coach USA's Newark Express to move between Newark International Airport and Manhattan.Ĭomplete waste of money. So, are we going to try to use the bus to get back to EWR for our return flight? Of course! (And if you believe that, I have a bridge that is for sale!) It was as though the bus ran according to the whims of some ancient god! Its actual arrival time had no correlation to the scheduled time what-so-ever. On the way into The City, he commented how he loved the bus we had waited for, but that its ETA was totally unpredictable. When we decided to leave via cab we asked if he wanted a ride to Time Square. I must add that a businessperson from CA waited for over an hour with us. Until 8:20!Īt 8:20, we gave up and got in the queue for the taxi. Thinking that we must have just missed the 7:05 bus, we decided to wait for the 7:50. We expected the bus momentarily since their schedule listed that as the time the bus was to leave Newark Airport. We even found the place where the bus was to stop without any problem, getting there about 7:05 pm. Our plan was to use an already paid for bus ride from the airport to the Time Square area of Manhattan where our hotel is located using 's Coach USA's Newark Airport Express. Everything had gone smoothly until we exited the Newark airport. My wife and I flew into Newark International Airport on our way to a vacation stay in NYC. However, I am eager to do so about this one! I usually do not write about events that did not happen. One Thanksgiving, a group of 20 of us amassed in front of a stop and it took 40+ minutes of everyone doing their own respective googling for one individual to find some obscure notice somewhere online that they were not doing pickups/dropoffs on Thanksgiving. NOTE 2: If it's a holiday like Thanksgiving, be careful. The good news is you have 365 days to use your ticket and are not bound to use it during any particular day/time. (Note: You shouldn't have the same problem getting from EWR to NY they start dropping off passengers much earlier to NY.) Anyway, I couldn't use half of my round trip ticket. The first pick up from NY to EWR did not occur until 7am and I did not check this when I had a flight scheduled to depart at 7:40. NOTE 1: If you have a need to get from NYC to EWR early in the morning, double check their schedules. Great for those whose destination are near Port Authority, Bryant Park or Grand Central station (their 3 NY stops) But not super expensive like taking a cab or rideshare. The Newark Airport Express bus's straight shot to and from NY eliminates the headache of having to multiple stops /transfers- great for those with a bunch of luggage and/or young kiddos in tow. Best way to get to/from NYC for those looking for a balance between simplicity and cost effectiveness.
